Episode 9: Kazakh wine

Episode 9: Kazakh wine with Asem Tusupbayeva šŸ‡°šŸ‡æšŸ·Ā

Yes, it’s definitely an episode that was long coming, and I was just waiting for the right moment and person to record it with. I know you love me, but having speakers that know more about the topic in question is what makes this podcast more diverse and also more educational (myself included) šŸ˜‰

I know Asem since 2017 and she was the one who introduced me to the modern and high quality wine from Kazakhstan thanks to her work at @arba_wine. Throughout my travels and work there are a lot of people who always ask me if Kazakhstan makes wines, what kind of wines and if they are any good (spoiler: yes, they are!)? šŸ˜…

So in this episode we chat about history of winemaking in Kazakhstan, grapes grown here and used for production of wine, about the profile of the consumer of local wine, as well as the curious case of Arba Wine who continue to push and surprise their customers šŸ’ŖšŸ»šŸ„‚šŸ‡°šŸ‡æĀ

Thank you @asem_kosem for bringing your knowledge and expertise ā¤ļøYou can also follow Asem’s other profile dedicated to the history and winemaking in Kazakhstan - @kazakh_wine_enthusiast šŸ‘ŒšŸ»Links to different platforms are in bio šŸŽ§ Like, share, subscribe šŸ·ā¤ļø
